Though rare, infection is possible if aftercare is not handled correctly and with caution. Itโs important to follow aftercare instructions to obtain optimal results.
Stay out of the sun for the first 24 hours after your session.
You MUST wear a hit with a brim if you decide to be outdoors.
Do NOT sleep on your side until your brows are completely done shedding.
Note: Sleeping on your side will rub your scabs off too early, which will then result in your brows healing blurry or disappear completely. Try using a travel pillow to keep your head straight while sleeping.
When the area starts to flake, leave it alone. Do not pick, peel, or pull on the skin.
Note: If you accidentally scratch or pick at your scabs, it will pull out your ink and will results in an empty spot where strokes will appear to be missing. I recommend cutting your nails short and filing them.
Dab a thin coat of the provided with a clean q-tip, morning and night for 7 days or until you use all the ointment in the container.
Note: Make sure to also apply the ointment before taking a shower.
Avoid sweating for 7 days.
You MUST keep your brows dry for the next 7 days.
Use a washcloth to wash your face to better control liquids from running.
DO NOT allow water to touch the treated area during showering or bathing for the first 7 days.
Until healing is complete, keep your hands clean and avoid touching your brows.
Do NOT use a scrub or pick treated brows.
Do NOT use peroxide or Neosporin.
Do NOT expose brow area to direct sun or to tanning beds.
Avoid exposing your brows to excessive moisture or humidity, such as facials, swimming, whirlpools (hot tubs), saunas, steam rooms, and steamy showers.
Avoid Retin-A, moisturizers containing retinol, glycolic acids, exfoliants, and anti-aging products at all times on all microbladed areas. These can cause pigments to fade and lighten prematurely.
Avoid tanning beds.
Must apply sunscreen if under direct sun.
Pigments will slowly fade over time, according to oneโs metabolism, skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, medication, facial surgery, and smoking habits.
Periodic touch-ups will ensure long lasting results.
Return for annual touch-up sessions.
