Stay out of the sun for 24 hours after your session.
You MUST wear a hat with a brim if you decide to be outdoors.
Do NOT sleep on your side until your brows are completely done shedding.
Note: Sleeping on your side will rub your scabs off too early, which will then result in your brows healing blurry or disappear completely. Try using a travel pillow to keep your head straight while sleeping.
When the area starts to flake, leave it alone. Do not pick, peel, or pull on the skin.
Note: If you accidentally scratch or pick at your scabs, it will pull out your ink and will result in an empty spot where strokes are missing.
Cleanse area with MicroTonic 1-2x over the first 6 hours post procedure, continue use and apply morning and night for the fist 72hrs followed by MicroBalm. Apply a thin layer of MicroBalm to the area that was treated (6 hours) post-procedure. This 6 hour window is necessary to allow the wound to primarily close without interference by any foreign molecules, and so as not to hinder the natural process of repair. This also allows the tissue to breathe and close as well as helping lock in pigment.
Note: Make sure to also apply the ointment before taking a shower.
Avoid sweating for 7 days.
Other than the MicroTonic, you MUST keep your brows dry for the first 7 days.
Use a washcloth to wash your face to better control liquids from running.
DO NOT allow water to touch the treated area during showering or bathing for the first 7 days.
Until healing is complete, keep your hands clean and avoid touching your brows.
DO NOT use a scrub or pick treated brows.
DO NOT use peroxide or Neosporin
DO NOT expose brow area to direct sun or to tanning beds.
Avoid exposing your brows to excessive moisture or humidity, such as facials, swimming, whirlpools (hot tubs), saunas, steam rooms, and steamy showers.
After your brows heal
Avoid Retin-A, moisturizers containing retinol, glycolic acids, exfoliants, and anti-aging products at all times on all microbladed areas. These can cause pigments to fade and lighten prematurely.
Avoid tanning beds.
Must apply sunscreen if under direct sun.
Pigments will slowly fade over time, according to one's metabolism, skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, medication, facial surgery and smoking habits.
Periodic touch-ups will ensure long-lasting results.
Return for annual touch-up sessions.
Day 1 (Day of the Procedure)
It is very important to remove the lymph fluid from the surface of the skin in order to avoid heavy scabbing. Before bed, if the lips still have some dry lymph, rinse with lukewarm water, gently removing the dry lymph, pat dry and apply Aquaphor Healing Ointment. Sometimes the lips can bruise even after the procedure. Bruising will subside within 24 hours post procedure.
Day 2 - 7
The lips may be swollen the second day as well. Please do not ice the lips. Keep the skin moist at all times, do not let the lips dry out. Continue to apply ointment every 30 minutes throughout the day. Again, do NOT let the lips dry out.
During Day 1 to Day 7 (or until the scabs are gone)
Please Avoid:
Water (on the PMU area) aside from cleaning them
Makeup
Excessive sweating
Sauna
Pools
Sunbathing
Spicy food
Kissing
DO NOT pick the dry lips.
Do not apply anything besides Aquaphor ointment (no Vaseline, antibiotic creams, Polysporin etc). Following the procedure, do not use creams that contain acids or ingredients that will lighten or exfoliate the skin. Touchups (if needed) can be done no sooner than 8 weeks after the original appointment.
